Aberdeen celebrates its 8th annual Oz Festival at Wylie Park's Storybook Land. This family festival features an Oz Parade and costume contest, roving Oz characters, Native American dancers and storytellers, Antiques Road Show appraiser, roving musicians musicians, pony and train rides, vendors and a wide variety of food booths. The Oz Festival is put together with the Youth Heritage Arts Festival sponsored by the city of Aberdeen. The Festival features living history demonstrations and hands-on activities for children. The combined festivals provide cultural programming that both educate and entertain festival visitors.
