The Festival in the Park is part of the Custer community annual celebration, ""Gold Discovery Days."" Celebrating its 78th year, this event attracts thousands of local residents, reunion attendees and vacation travelers to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Included in the scheduled activities are the Pageant of Paha Sapa, parade, carnival, balloon rally, 5k run, volksmarch and fireman's ball.
